Don Capellani
Owner of Salon~Capellani and a stylist for over 20 years, Don brings to the salon years of experience and knowledge in styling, cutting, and coloring. Formerly from Armando's in Lansing where he spent a number of years, Don decided to open his own salon five years ago. In doing so, he put together a team of well-trained stylists with whom he worked at Armando's.
Diana Solis
After working at Armando's Salon and then at Shringaar Salon for a number of years, Diana has been at Salon~Capellani from the day it opened in 2008. Diana has 17 years of experience in hair-cutting, styling, coloring, and color corrections. Her continued education keeps her current with the latest trends in the hair business. Diana also excels with wedding, prom and other special-occasion hair styles, as well as perms and relaxers.
Mayra Solis
Mayra has been in the hair business for 15 years. Formerly at Shringaar Salon where she learned to master the art of threading, her continued education and the understanding of her clients' needs have allowed her to excel in the hair business. Her clients' requests have kept her in the current trends for haircuts, styling, coloring, and color corrections. Mayra is superb with wedding, prom and other special-occasion hair styles, as well as perms and relaxers.
Katie Van Beek
After taking a break from the hair business to raise her children at home, Katie is now back and in full force. Her experience began in Armando's, where for a number of years she served an apprenticeship under Armando and was mentored by Don Capellani. Katie brings to the business 13 years of continued education that has allowed her to keep up with the latest trends in cut, color and color corrections. Katie has always excelled and taken great pride in her work, and with her charming personality and her great listening skills, Katie is an ideal stylist. She is also great with children and those wanting that special style for weddings and proms.
Sun Chung
Sun, who once worked at Armando's and then at The Nines Salon in Schererville, brings to Salon~Capellani 15 years of experience in the hair business. Her continued education and the requests from her clients -- as well as the high demand of the business -- has kept her current in all levels of hair-cutting, styling, coloring, color corrections, perms and relaxers. Sun also does outstanding work with wedding parties, proms and other special occasions.
